Threshold Singers
honor the ancient tradition of singing at the bedsides of people who
are struggling. The voice, as the original human instrument, is a
true and gracious vehicle for compassion and comfort. The choirs
provide opportunities for people to share the sacred gifts of their
voices at life’s thresholds.
When invited to a bedside, singers visit in small groups. Families
and caregivers are invited to join in song or participate by
listening. Songs are chosen to respond to musical taste, spiritual
direction and physical capacity. The songs may include rounds,
chants, lullabies, hymns, spirituals, and choral music.
If you love to sing and feel called to make a difference with your
gift of song, please join us! There will never be an obligation to
sing at bedside. All are welcome to participate in nourishing the
spirit through song. Rehearsals are held at Hospice at Home on the
second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at
6:30-8:30 pm.
